The
Foothills Soccer
Club
Training Academy is a
PA West Player Development Program
designed to enhance the skills of the individual player ages U6 to
U11. Participants have the
opportunity to work with licensed coaches in teaching the skills necessary to
excel in soccer. This program can be
used as the first step for young players toward the PA West Classic League
and the
Olympic Development Program (ODP), without interrupting their in-house
activities.
The
Academy is open to all recreational players regardless of ability. In-house coaches and recreational programs
are encouraged to send their teams to the academy. This is a long-term program coordinated with PA West and other
academies. It is the goal
of the program to develop individual skills in an environment that is fun, yet
challenging to the players.
All
training is conducted by licensed soccer coaches as mandated by PA West
Soccer Association.
All activities are age
appropriate and based on recommendations established by the United States
Soccer Federation coaching guidelines.
Our Technical
Director is Denny Marzano. Denny is a
United States Soccer Federation (USSF) ‘B” licensed coach, holds his National
Youth License, and has been
involved with youth soccer for more than 10 years. He also holds a Masters Degree in Education.
Training
is year round with 8 week outdoor sessions in the Fall and Spring and a 12 week
indoor session in the Winter.
